The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About GlideRead
GlideRead makes long-form reading on the web effortless.
HOW IT WORKS
GlideRead processes text by bolding the first letters of each word and applying a smooth per-letter opacity gradient across the rest. Your eyes naturally anchor on the bold beginnings and glide through each word — reducing cognitive load and boosting reading speed.
THREE READING MODES
• GlideRead — Bold first letters + per-letter opacity gradient (0.82→0.35). The signature mode that guides your eyes with soft contrast.
• Bionic — Classic bold-first-letters style with heavier weight. No opacity change.
• Enlarge Only — Scale up font size and line height only. Clean and distraction-free.
FEATURES
• Live preview in settings — see how your configuration looks before browsing
• Adjustable font scale (1.0x–1.5x) and line height (1.0x–2.0x)
• Three intensity levels: Light, Medium, Heavy
• Works on X/Twitter, Reddit, Medium, Hacker News, Substack, and more
• Add any custom site with one click
• Bilingual UI (English / 中文)
