Giftpin — Add to Registry

Companion to Giftpin registries on Shopify stores: add gifts from any online store in one click. Giftpin is a gift registry app that Shopify stores add to their website. If you created your wedding, baby, birthday or holiday registry on a store that uses Giftpin, this extension lets you fill that registry with gifts from anywhere you shop, not just that store's catalog. Found the exact mixer you want on one site, a rug on another, and a specific toy on a third? Add all of them to the same registry, one click at a time, without copying and pasting links. Your guests still see everything on your registry page on the store's site. Don't have a registry yet? Create one on the website of a store that offers Giftpin, then come back and connect it here. How it works 1. Connect once. Click the Giftpin icon and choose "Connect to my registry", then paste the private "manage your registry" link from your registry confirmation email, or use "Copy connection link" on your registry's manage page. You only do this once in each browser. No new account and no password to create. 2. Browse normally. When you're on a product page you want to add, click the Giftpin icon in your toolbar. 3. Giftpin reads the product's name, photo and price from the page you're already looking at, the same details any visitor sees, and shows you a preview. 4. Choose how many you want and click Add to registry. Nothing is added until you do. Adding the same product twice won't quietly double the quantity. Giftpin tells you it's already on your registry and asks how many you want in total. Works on most online stores that show product details on the page, including major retailers and independent shops. Privacy and permissions Giftpin only looks at a page when you click its icon, and only reads the product details listed above. It does not track your browsing, collect your history, or run in the background. When you click Add to registry, it sends the product's name, photo link, price, page address and the quantity you chose to your registry, through the Shopify store where your registry lives. The store passes it to Giftpin, the app that runs your registry. Nothing is sent anywhere else, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. Giftpin never asks for a password. It saves your registry link in your browser so you stay connected. The popup always shows which registry you're connected to; click "Switch registry" to remove it and connect a different one. Giftpin does not change the pages you visit, and it never adds or rewrites affiliate links or tracking codes. Permissions used: - activeTab and scripting: to read the product details on the tab you clicked the icon on, only at that moment. - storage: to remember which registry you connected. - myshopify.com access: to send items to your registry through your Shopify store.
