The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Gesture Navigation: Mouse Gestures
Navigate Chrome with a flick of your mouse.
Hold the right mouse button, draw a short direction, release. Gesture Navigation turns that movement into the action you want: go back, open a new tab, close a tab, scroll to the top and 30 more. No hunting for toolbar buttons, no shortcuts to memorise.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Hold the right mouse button
2. Draw a direction, for example left
3. Release, and the action runs
WHAT YOU GET
• Live action preview: arrows and the action name appear while you draw, so you always know what will happen before you let go
• Glowing gesture trail in any color and thickness
• 36 built-in actions: back, forward, reload, new tab, close tab, reopen closed tab, duplicate, pin, mute, next and previous tab, move tab, close other tabs, new window, incognito window, fullscreen, zoom, scroll, print, copy URL and more
• Context gestures: start on a link to open it in a background tab, or select text and search it in a new tab
• Record your own gestures by drawing them, then assign any action
• Rocker gestures: hold one mouse button and click the other for instant back or forward
• Wheel gestures: hold the right button and scroll to switch tabs
• Practice pad: try gestures safely inside the settings page
• Disable on any site with one click, or pause everywhere with Alt+Shift+G
• Dark mode, searchable gesture list, import and export, private usage stats

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Gesture Navigation has no servers, no analytics and no tracking. It never reads or sends page content. Your settings sync through your own Google account (Chrome sync); usage counters stay on your device.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Chrome does not allow extensions on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store and the built-in PDF viewer, so gestures do not work there.
• Web apps that use right-click themselves (design tools, online docs) can be excluded per site.
• Press Esc while drawing to cancel a gesture.
