About GeoPics - Photo Map Posters
Every photo already knows where it was taken. GeoPics turns that into a poster.
Drop in a photo and GeoPics reads the GPS coordinates and the date from its EXIF
data, draws the surrounding map, and lays out the place name, the coordinates and
the date in one of 44 poster templates. Pick a template, adjust it, and download a
1200 × 1600 image you can print or post.
WHAT YOU GET
• 44 poster templates — Polaroid, magazine cover, film strip, boarding pass,
postcard, contour survey, newspaper, vinyl sleeve, passport stamp, calendar,
Swiss grid, triptych and more, grouped into Minimal, Classic, Editorial, Retro,
Travel, Art and Social.
• Automatic place and date — the city name and the shooting date are filled in from
the photo. Change either by hand whenever you like.
• Place names in your language — print them in English, or in Traditional Chinese,
Japanese or Korean, with an optional district for more precision.
• 11 map palettes plus a custom colour picker, a zoom slider from region to street
level, drag-to-pan photo framing, and separate opacity for map, photo and text.
• Camera details — some templates can print the camera model and the exposure
(focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO) read from EXIF.
• HD export — 1200 × 1600, or 1200 × 1792 with the brand footer.
• Batch mode (Pro) — import up to 9 photos, give each one its own template, and
download the whole set as a ZIP.
• Works offline for everything except the map: the map image and the place name are
the only things that need the network.
• Interface in English, 繁體中文, 日本語 and 한국어. It follows your Chrome language
and you can override it in Settings.
• Switch dark / light mode via the button above.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose, drag or paste a photo (Ctrl / ⌘ + V).
2. Pick a template and fine-tune the map, colours and framing.
3. Save the HD poster.
Use the original file from your camera or phone — that is where the GPS data lives.
Screenshots and photos sent through chat apps usually have it stripped, but you can
still search for a place or type coordinates by hand.
PRIVACY
Your photos are decoded and rendered inside your browser and are never uploaded.
The only thing that leaves your computer is the pair of coordinates for the photo
you are editing, sent to Mapbox to fetch the map image and look up the place name,
plus the search terms you type into the place search. There is no account, no
analytics and no tracking. Full details: see the privacy policy link below.
FREE AND PAID
The Polaroid template is free forever, 10 posters every calendar month, with no
account. Other templates show a watermark in the preview until you unlock them.
• Poster pack — $3.99, 10 watermark-free posters, never expire
• Monthly — $4.99, 60 posters for 30 days
• Yearly — $19.99, 500 posters for 365 days
• Lifetime — $39.99, pay once, up to 100 posters per month
Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime also unlock batch import and batch download. Each
saved poster uses one credit; saving the same photo again does not cost extra.
Refunds are available under the published policy — the link is below.
Maps and place names are provided by Mapbox using OpenStreetMap data. GeoPics
