About Game Delay
⏸ GAME DELAY
Your results, on your schedule.
Game Delay lets you follow sports without the risk of seeing a result before you've watched the game. Track the teams and competitions you care about, and Game Delay automatically hides scores, results, and spoilers across the web — news sites, Google Search, and social media — until you're ready.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Choose your sports from the built-in list — Rugby Union, Rugby League, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Netball, Tennis, Golf, Formula 1, and Biathlon.
2. Select the teams or competitions you want to protect. Add entire competitions at once, or pick individual teams.
3. Browse the web as normal. Any content mentioning your tracked teams is replaced with a ⏸ GAME DELAY overlay.
4. Watched the game? Hit "Caught Up" next to a team and their results become visible again instantly.
FEATURES:
✓ Covers news sites, Google Search results, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and YouTube
✓ Smart context-aware matching — blocks "New Zealand" only in sports contexts, not travel or news articles
✓ Team nicknames and aliases built in — track "All Blacks" and "New Zealand" is automatically covered in rugby contexts
✓ Block entire competitions at once (e.g. block all NRL teams in one tap)
✓ Search for teams by name, nickname, or alias
✓ 100% private — no data is collected, no accounts required, everything stays on your device
✓ Free to use
PERMISSIONS:
Game Delay requests access to all websites so it can scan pages for sports content as you browse. It does not read, transmit, or store any browsing data. Your team preferences are saved locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage and are never sent anywhere.
