The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About FullSite Shot
FullSite Shot captures a complete web page as a single image, not just what fits on screen. It scrolls the tab, stitches the tiles, and opens a viewer so you can annotate, copy, or download PNG and PDF. The work happens in your Chrome: captures are not sent to any developer server.
Created by Root Digital CR.
How to use it:
1. Open a regular website (http or https).
2. Click the FullSite Shot icon or the default shortcut Alt+Shift+S. You can change that shortcut in Chrome’s extension shortcuts.
3. Wait a few seconds while the page is scrolled and stitched.
4. Review the result in the viewer: annotate if you want, then copy or download PNG or PDF.
Capture:
- Scrolls the page automatically and stitches what is on screen into one image.
- Works for long pages, not only the first viewport.
- Tries to include content that appears as you scroll (lazy loading) when the page allows it.
- Fixed or sticky headers are handled so they are not repeated on every tile.
- Zoom and high-resolution displays are covered in the usual flow.
Annotations:
- Hand (H) to pan around the capture.
- Pen (P) to draw; a click leaves a dot.
- Color and a fixed set of thicknesses (1 to 32 px relative to the real image).
- Eraser (E) that only removes annotations; it never changes the original capture.
- Undo and redo (Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z; on Mac also ⌘Z and ⌘Shift+Z).
- Clear all, with confirmation on the button itself; it can be undone.
Export:
- Copy to the clipboard.
- Download PNG.
- Download PDF (an A4 document built on the device).
- If there are marks, they are flattened only in the exported file; the original image and your editing stay intact.
Privacy and control:
- No analytics, accounts, ads, or telemetry.
- No global host permissions: only the active tab, after your click or shortcut.
- Images, title, URL, size, date, and annotations are stored in IndexedDB of this Chrome profile.
- Language and theme are stored in this profile’s local storage.
- Uninstalling the extension or clearing site data removes those captures, annotations, and preferences.
Help, Privacy, and Scope and limitations live in the extension (right-click the icon, or the viewer links).
What it does not promise:
- It does not turn a full PDF into one continuous capture; Chrome’s PDF viewer is not a normal web page.
- It does not scroll every small inner panel or every iframe; if that content fills almost the whole tab, it does try to walk it.
- Pages that load forever stop at a safety limit.
- Chrome will not capture internal pages (chrome://) or the Chrome Web Store.
- Videos, GIFs, or live dashboards may show different moments in different stretches.
- Local files require turning on “Allow access to file URLs” in the extension details.
The “Support the project” link is optional and opens Root Digital CR’s Ko-fi profile. FullSite Shot does not send captures or preferences.
