About Full-Page & Area Screenshots with Annotations - GetFullPage

GetFullPage is a privacy-first, feature-rich webpage screenshot extension for Chrome. No account required. No cloud dependency. Capture full pages, select regions, clean pages, annotate images, run batch tasks, and manage history—all locally. What’s New in Version 1.4.2 Added “Entire Chrome Window” Recording - Records the Chrome tab strip, address bar, extension icons, and other window content. - Captures tab-switching actions within the same Chrome window. - Existing single-tab, window, and entire-screen recording modes remain available. Recording Control Page Now Automatically Pauses - Returning to recording.html automatically pauses the recording instead of stopping it. - Switching to another tab resumes the same recording session. - Paused time is excluded from the recording duration, and no separate video files are created. - The final video is generated only when you click Stop or end screen sharing. What’s new in 1.4.1 Local screen recording: choose a tab, window, or full screen in the browser picker. Optional microphone input plus pause, resume, and stop controls are included. Honest video export choices: WebM is available by default. MP4 appears only when the current browser can record it directly; the extension never relabels a WebM file as MP4 or sends video to a cloud converter. Enhanced local image editor: select previously added annotations and move, resize, rotate, duplicate, or delete them. Use text, arrows, shapes, highlighting, pixelation, numbered steps, and callouts; export the finished image as PNG or PDF. Privacy stays local: captures, image editing, recordings, and history remain on this device. No account, automatic upload, or cloud sync is required. ### 🚀 Four capture modes #### Full-page capture Automatically scrolls and stitches the entire page—ideal for saving long articles, course materials, product pages, and documentation. #### Visible-area capture Quickly capture exactly what’s currently visible in your browser window—perfect for instant notes and sharing. #### Selected-region capture Drag to select any area directly on the page—keeping only what you need. #### Smart element capture Auto-detects page elements and scrollable sections—click any module to capture it precisely. ### 🧹 Pre-capture cleanup Click to hide ads, pop-ups, floating windows, buttons, or other distractions before capturing—so your final image stays clean. - Select multiple elements to hide in sequence - Undo your most recent action - Restore the current page with one click - Save cleanup rules for this page and reuse them next time - All cleanup rules stay stored locally on your device ### ✨ Long-image annotation & editing Edit screenshots instantly in our built-in editor—no external image apps needed. - Rectangles, ellipses, lines, and arrows - Add text callouts - Blur sensitive information - Adjust colors, stroke widths, and font sizes - Undo and redo support - Zoom in and out between 10%–200% - Ultra-wide long images automatically fit the editor width - Zoom affects preview only—export retains original resolution ### 📚 Batch capture & task recovery Enter multiple URLs to capture them sequentially—great for research, archiving, and competitive analysis. - Stable serial processing - Handles page-load timeouts and retries on failure - Shows exact error reasons - Auto-saves incomplete tasks - Resume batch processing after reopening the tab - Requests website access permissions only during batch tasks ### 🖼️ Multi-format export - Supports PNG, JPG, and WebP - Adjustable image quality - High-quality capture mode - Customizable filename templates - Set default capture mode - Delay capture - Open editor automatically after capture ### 🕘 Local history management All captures are saved locally in your browser—view, download, or delete anytime. No account needed. No uploads to servers. ### ⚡ More reliable long-page capture Optimized specifically for complex and extremely long pages: - Waits for fonts and visible images to load before capturing - Pauses animations during capture - Minimizes duplication of fixed navigation bars and sticky elements - Supports both vertical and horizontal scrolling content - Automatically handles safe dimensions for oversized images - Clearly warns when page size exceeds browser limits—preventing blank screenshots ### ⌨️ Keyboard shortcuts Launch full-page, visible-area, or selected-region capture instantly using browser shortcuts—reducing repetitive clicks. ### 🔒 Privacy & permissions - All capture and editing happens locally - History is stored only in your local browser - No sign-up or login required - No cloud sync - No screenshots uploaded to servers - Standard capture requires access only to the current page - Batch capture permissions are granted by you, explicitly ### 🌐 20 interface languages Supports 20 interface languages. Automatically matches your browser language—and can be manually switched in settings. ### Use cases - Web designers saving design references and competitor pages - Developers documenting bugs, test results, and development workflows - Students archiving courses, articles, and study materials - Business professionals creating reports and presentations - Content creators gathering web assets - Marketing teams archiving public webpages in bulk ### Limitations Some Chrome internal pages, extension management pages, and other pages protected by browser security policies cannot be captured or have their elements selected.
