The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About FoxFetch
FoxFetch is a Chrome extension that brings media discovery, playback controls, and downloads together in a sidebar and floating controller, making it easier to browse and manage media on the current page.
Key features
• Bilibili video downloads
Detect and download supported Bilibili video resources, with quality options based on the formats available from the source. Availability depends on the video, account permissions, and website restrictions.
• Page resource center
Find images, audio, and video on supported pages. Search by name, filter by resource type, and save content you own or have permission to download.
• Floating playback controls
Play and pause, adjust playback speed, reset speed, and mute or unmute. Previous and next video navigation is available on supported pages.
• Download options and local processing
Some resources offer resolution selection and Compatibility, Quality, or Size preferences. Eligible download failures trigger automatic attempts with alternative formats. Supported audio and video combinations are merged in the browser, without a separate desktop download application.
• Task status and diagnostics
View download progress, processing stages, save results, and error details to track tasks and troubleshoot problems.
• Languages and themes
Choose English or Simplified Chinese and use a light, dark, or system-matched theme.
How to use
1. After installation, open a media page and click the FoxFetch toolbar icon.
2. Browse detected media in the resource center or open the floating controller to operate the current player.
3. Select the available download options and save location, then start the download.
4. Wait for confirmation that the file was saved. Completed download progress alone does not confirm a successful save.
Supported use and limitations
Media detection and download availability depend on the website, resource format, account permissions, and browser environment. Not all pages, live streams, or codec combinations are supported. Content that can be played is not necessarily available for download.
FoxFetch does not bypass DRM, paid-access restrictions, or server-side session verification. Download only content you own or are authorized to download, and comply with applicable laws, platform terms, and content licenses.
High-bitrate media processing remains subject to available disk space, browser resources, and source-server limits.
Privacy and permissions
Media processing takes place on your device. Detection and downloads still communicate with the source website or its media servers. The extension uses relevant permissions to detect page resources, control playback, save files, and store settings. Some settings may be synchronized through your browser.
Diagnostics may contain media titles, source information, and task details. Remove private information before sharing them. Do not publicly share cookies, access tokens, or signed media URLs.
