The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About FounderFinder Sidebar
FounderFinder Sidebar is a Chrome extension built for Amazon agencies, brand researchers, ecommerce professionals, virtual assistants and e-commerce investors who need to quickly identify the founder, owner, or CEO behind any Amazon brand or seller store.
What it does
Open any Amazon product listing and FounderFinder Sidebar automatically extracts the brand name and seller name from the page. It then runs targeted Google searches in the background — using advanced boolean queries like site:linkedin.com/in "Brand Name" founder OR owner OR CEO — and scores every LinkedIn result from 0 to 100 based on how likely the person is the actual brand founder. Only high-confidence matches are shown.
Key Features
— Auto-detects brand name and seller name from any Amazon listing (US, UK, CA, AU, DE)
— Runs Google → LinkedIn and LinkedIn People searches simultaneously in the background
— Scores each LinkedIn result from 0 to 100 using title, role, brand name match, and ranking position
— Shows only results above your chosen minimum score (50+, 70+, or 85+)
— Caches results per ASIN for 7 days — revisiting a listing loads instantly
— Detects when Amazon.com is the seller and pauses auto-search with a clear warning
— CAPTCHA detection — notifies you when Google asks for verification in a background tab
— Fully customisable: set a niche keyword (e.g. supplements), custom boolean search string, minimum score, and which search methods to use
— Manual "Open in Tab" tool for custom searches on any brand or seller name
— Dark mode and light mode
— Search history saved locally
— No data sent to external servers — everything runs in your browser
Who is this for
— Amazon FBA sellers doing competitor research
— Brand acquisition researchers and e-commerce investors
— Agency outreach teams finding brand decision makers
— Wholesale buyers and private label researchers
— LinkedIn lead generation for Amazon brand owners
How it works
Open an Amazon product page
1. FounderFinder Sidebar reads the brand and seller name automatically
2. Google searches run in hidden background tabs using quoted, boolean queries
3. Results are scored — founder and owner roles rank highest
4. Matches above your score threshold appear instantly in the sidebar
5. Click Open to view the full LinkedIn profile in a new tab
6. Results are cached per listing — no repeated searches on the same product
