Force USD – Currency Switcher for Flights & Hotels

Google Flights or Google Hotels showing prices in the wrong currency? Force USD reapplies your preferred display currency as you browse, with USD as the default. Choose another supported currency, prefer English (US) where available, and turn automatic changes on or off from a simple popup. FEATURES • Remembers your currency and language preferences using Chrome sync. • Works on initial page loads and navigation within supported websites. • Uses websites’ native currency settings rather than replacing price labels. • Supports regional Google Travel domains. • Handles Google Hotels pages that carry currency preferences in encoded search state. • Preserves unrelated search parameters and limits repeated reloads. • Includes consent, privacy information and data-clearing controls. SUPPORTED WEBSITES Direct currency rules include Google Flights, Google Hotels, Booking.com, Airbnb and selected travel and shopping services. The in-extension catalog lists 50 services and explains which use automatic rules, conditional native selectors or manual settings. Coverage varies; not every service or regional storefront has been verified. Website changes, account settings and regional restrictions can affect results. ENGLISH PREFERENCES Force USD selects native English settings where supported. US English is preferred when available; some websites offer another English variant. You can also leave language unchanged. This is not an automatic translation service. PRIVACY AND CONTROL After you agree to the disclosure, Force USD uses tab URLs, named preference cookies and native currency/language controls to apply your choices. It may reload a page or briefly open a website’s preference menu. Your settings use Chrome sync. Browsing data is not sent to a developer server. There are no ads or developer analytics. Turning the extension off stops further changes but does not undo preferences already saved by a website. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS Force USD does not calculate exchange rates, change your shipping country or guarantee the currency charged at checkout. Recognized checkout, payment, cart, order and sign-in pages are excluded from automatic changes.
