The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Focus Booster
Focus Booster helps you protect deep work with a Pomodoro-style timer and a blocklist that respects your session.
HOW IT WORKS
• Pick 15, 25, 50 minutes — or set a custom length
• Add sites you want to avoid (youtube.com, news sites, social feeds)
• Start focus — those sites redirect to a calm “stay focused” page
• When the session ends, blocking lifts automatically (unless you enable Always block)
• Take a short break, build a streak, repeat
BUILT FOR REAL FOCUS
• Timers use Chrome alarms so sessions finish even if the extension sleeps
• Blocking is session-scoped by default — not a permanent internet lockdown
• Domains are normalized for you (paste a full URL; we store the host)
• Optional host permissions: access is requested for sites you choose
• Everything stays on your device — no account, no tracking servers
PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
• Storage — save your blocklist and progress
• Alarms — reliable session end times
• Notifications — celebrate finished sessions
• Tabs — “Back to work” from the focus page
• Site access — only for domains you add, so redirects can work
Open the toolbar popup to start a session. Distraction can wait.
