The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Faux Lens – AI Deepfake Detector
Right-click any image on the web and find out whether AI made it.
FauxLens adds one item to your right-click menu: "Detect with Faux Lens". Use it on
anything you see on a page and the scan opens already running — no saving the file, no
hunting for an upload button, no account.
WHAT IT CHECKS FOR
- Images generated by Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Flux and others
- Deepfakes and synthetic faces
- Photos that a person edited, retouched or composited
- Screenshots that were altered or fabricated
WHAT YOU GET BACK
A clear verdict - AI-GENERATED, LIKELY AI-GENERATED or NO AI DETECTED — with a confidence
score and the evidence behind it, so you can see what the scan actually found instead of
trusting a number on its own.
HOW IT WORKS
Right-click an image, choose "Detect with Faux Lens", and it opens at fauxlens.com with the
scan already started. Analysis runs on FauxLens servers, not in your browser. Uploaded
files are deleted after the analysis finishes and are never used for training.
WHO USES IT
People checking dating profiles and marketplace listings before they commit to anything.
Journalists and fact-checkers verifying a photo on deadline. Anyone sent a "proof of
payment" screenshot, or a picture that looks a little too good to be true.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Free to use, and no account is needed to scan.
- Still pictures only for now. Right-clicking a video tells you video support is coming;
to check a clip today, download it and upload it at fauxlens.com/detect.
- Works on ordinary web images. Anything embedded as a data or blob URL cannot be passed
along — save it and upload it directly.
- Detection is probabilistic evidence, not proof. Treat a result as a strong signal, and
not as the last word.
