The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Facebook Reset & Feed Control
Clean up Facebook. Keep what matters.
Facebook Reset & Feed Control makes desktop Facebook quieter and easier to control, from one visible panel inside the Facebook tab you already use. No password. No subscription.
HIDE ADS AND CLEAN UP FACEBOOK HOME
• Hide detected ads in the Feed, down the side, and in the Reels strip. Remove each ad outright or leave a small marker, and match all likely ads or only the ones Facebook labels.
• Keep one advertiser's ads out of this browser with a local block list.
• Clean up the Facebook Home page: hide the side menus, Stories, the post box, and floating chat. Turn Feed Control off and all of it comes back immediately.
Both are free, with no limit.
QUIET THE FEED
• Only what I follow: hide posts from people, Pages, and groups you don't follow or haven't joined.
• Hide suggestions as you scroll: Suggested for you, suggested Pages and groups, People You May Know, Reels, and Watch. New installs start with ads, suggestions, and posts from outside what you follow already hidden.
• Write your own filters for words, exact phrases, hashtags, domains, people and sources, and topics. Save up to 500. Free runs three at a time; the rest stay in the list, paused.
• Pro adds five more filters: AI-labelled content, engagement bait, duplicate posts, repeated reshares, and Comment Shield, which reaches the comments under a post as well as the post.
• Every post hidden by your own filter leaves a local placeholder with Show once. Hidden posts lists what was hidden and why.
ONE MENU ON EVERY POST
One button replaces Facebook's ⋯ and ✕ on each post. From it, hide the post, mute who posted it for 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or always, hide posts like it by hashtag, site, or word, or highlight the person or Page. Facebook's own options stay inside the menu. Every action shows an Undo. Mutes are free and unlimited.
BROWSE AT YOUR PACE
• Keyboard: J and K move between posts, N jumps to the next post you haven't seen, X hides, M mutes for 30 days, L likes, C comments, and Cmd/Ctrl+K jumps to a page or action.
• Posts you saw on an earlier visit fade, with a line where the new posts end.
• Focus mode and a wide Feed layout, long posts opened for you, and comments sorted by Facebook's order, newest, or all.
• Today on Facebook shows minutes and distance scrolled. Set a daily limit of 30 to 120 minutes, or pause the Feed for an hour, until morning, or until you turn it back on. Friends and groups stay open.
• Open Facebook to Latest or Friends instead of Home, hide like and comment counts, and hide Reels, Marketplace, and Gaming in the top bar.
All of it is free and changes only how Facebook looks in this browser.
Feed Control removes ads and hides content after Facebook loads it. It does not block ad or tracking requests, report content, or change follows, friends, Pages, or groups.
CLEAN OUT OLD GROUPS AND CONNECTIONS
Review every selection before a run. Nothing changes until you confirm, and you can pause or stop between items.
• Groups: leave, cancel a join request, unfollow, set notifications to All posts, Highlights, Friends' posts, or Off, and set push notifications to Highlights or Off.
• Pages: unfollow Pages you liked.
• Follows: unfollow people and Pages.
• Friends: unfriend, restrict, or block.
• Sent requests: cancel.
Search, sort by activity, use quick selection, and mark anything as Keep. Groups you manage cannot be left. Unknown activity is not proof of inactivity.
EVERY CHANGE LEAVES A RECORD
Each item is checked on Facebook and marked done, skipped, or failed. When Facebook does not confirm a change, the item waits under Check on Facebook: it may already have changed, so look before trying again. Past changes keeps run history on this device, with JSON and CSV export. It is a record, not a universal undo.
FREE AND PRO
Free hides ads, cleans up Facebook Home, hides suggestions and Reels, mutes people and Pages, and includes every browsing option, with no limit. It runs three of your own words or topics at a time and makes 10 changes a day on your lists.
Pro is $9 once, with no subscription. It has no daily limit on list changes, so it runs the whole reviewed selection in one pass. It runs every word and topic you have saved, adds the five Pro Feed filters, and can match topics by meaning on supported Chrome. Pro keeps every review, confirmation, pacing, and verification step. Payment never starts a cleanup.
PRIVACY
Lists, selections, Feed rules, mutes, posts you've seen, hidden-post records, and run history stay in Chrome storage on this device. The extension never asks for your Facebook password. Gumroad and the activation service handle payment, license verification, and delivery records. Optional operational diagnostics are off by default and exclude Facebook content, names, identifiers, rules, URLs, and raw history.
