Etsy Guardian: Dropshipping Checker & Alerts

Shop handmade with confidence. EtsyGuardian is the free browser extension that helps you tell genuine handmade and vintage items from mass-produced dropshipped goods on Etsy — with instant risk signals, a clear Trust Score on every listing, price history, AI-powered review summaries, and tools that put you back in control of what you see. You searched for "handmade." You deserve handmade. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THE PROBLEM ETSYGUARDIAN SOLVES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Etsy is home to millions of talented makers — but hidden among them is a growing wave of resellers who list mass-produced factory items as "handmade." You've probably seen the signs: a "handcrafted" necklace that also appears on three marketplaces at a third of the price, a four-week delivery window from a shop that claims to make everything to order, titles stuffed with fifty keywords, and reviews that mention packaging straight from a foreign warehouse. Spotting these listings by hand takes real detective work: reverse-image searching photos, reading hundreds of reviews, checking shipping origins, comparing prices across marketplaces. Most shoppers don't have time for that — so they either get burned, or they give up on Etsy entirely. That hurts you, and it hurts the honest makers you wanted to support in the first place. EtsyGuardian does the detective work for you, automatically, on every listing you open — so you can spend your money on real craftsmanship. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔍 DROPSHIPPING DETECTION — INSTANT RISK SIGNALS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Open any Etsy listing and EtsyGuardian immediately scans it for the red flags experienced shoppers look for: • Keyword-stuffed titles — the classic mark of mass-listing operations optimising for search instead of describing a real product • Suspicious shipping patterns — long overseas delivery windows that don't match a "made in my studio" story • Listing-quality signals — generic stock-style photography, template descriptions, and catalogue-scale shops with implausibly large inventories • Reverse-image search shortcuts — check the listing's photos against AliExpress, Amazon, Temu, and Alibaba in a couple of clicks, so you can see for yourself whether that "one of a kind" item is available by the pallet elsewhere You get a clear, plain-English breakdown of what was found and why it matters — not just a verdict, but the reasoning behind it. If a listing is clean, you'll know that too, and you can buy with peace of mind. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🛡️ TRUST SCORE — EVERY LISTING RATED 0–100 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ EtsyGuardian condenses everything it finds into a single Trust Score from 0 to 100, right on the page. The score weighs: • The shop's reviews and overall rating history • Listing quality and how the item is presented • Return and refund policies — because a seller who stands behind their work behaves differently from one moving anonymous inventory • The risk signals detected on the listing itself No more opening six tabs to research a shop before you dare to add something to your basket. Glance at the score, expand the breakdown if you want the details, and decide in seconds. The Trust Score doesn't tell you what to buy — it gives you the information Etsy's own listing page doesn't surface, so the decision is genuinely yours. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📉 PRICE TRACKING, DROP ALERTS & TARGET PRICES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Is that "50% off sale" actually a deal — or was the price quietly raised last month so it could be "discounted" today? EtsyGuardian records price history on the listings you track, so you can see the real story behind every sale banner. • Price history — see how a listing's price has moved over time before you commit • Drop alerts — get notified when a tracked item's price falls, instead of checking back every day • Target prices — set the price you're willing to pay and let EtsyGuardian watch for it • Restock and sale alerts — when that sold-out item comes back, or a shop you love runs a genuine sale, you'll be among the first to know It's the patient-shopper superpower: never overpay for something that goes on sale two weeks later, and never miss the restock of the piece you actually wanted. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🤖 AI REVIEW SUMMARIES & SHOPPING ASSISTANT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ A listing with 1,400 reviews contains the answers to most of your questions — but nobody reads 1,400 reviews. EtsyGuardian's AI reads them for you and returns a concise, honest summary: • Pros — what buyers consistently praise: quality, accuracy to photos, packaging, seller communication • Cons — the recurring gripes: sizing that runs small, colours that differ from the photos, slow dispatch • Complaints — the deal-breakers worth knowing about before you order, not after Alongside the summaries, the built-in shopping assistant chatbot lets you ask questions in plain language — "do buyers say this fits true to size?", "is this shop's jewellery actually sterling silver?", "what do reviews say about delivery to Europe?" — and get answers grounded in the listing and its reviews. AI features include a generous monthly free allowance, so every shopper can use them. Heavy users can go unlimited with Premium. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚖️ COMPARE UP TO FOUR LISTINGS SIDE BY SIDE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Torn between similar items from different shops? Add up to four listings to the comparison tool and see them side by side — prices, Trust Scores, review signals, shipping, and policies in one view. The differences that matter jump out immediately, and the tab-juggling stops. It's the fastest way to turn "these all look the same" into a confident choice. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🚫 SELLER BLOCKING — CURATE YOUR OWN ETSY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Found a shop you never want to see again? Block it. EtsyGuardian hides blocked shops from your search results and recommendations, so repeat offenders stop cluttering your browsing. Over time, your Etsy becomes what it was suppo…
