About EPUB Reader – Readkave: FB2, MOBI & CBZ
Read EPUB files right in Chrome — and FB2, MOBI, AZW3 and CBZ too. Works offline, no account, nothing uploaded: your library stays on your computer.
Chrome downloads ebooks instead of opening them. Readkave opens them in a browser tab, with real pages, a table of contents, search, bookmarks and highlights.
READING
• Page by page without skipping chapters, or scroll mode
• Light, sepia and dark themes that also override a publisher's own styling
• Font, text size, line spacing, margins, one or two columns, fullscreen
• Click the page number to jump to any page or percentage
• Right-to-left and vertical text: Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese
• Remembers your place in every title
SEARCH, NOTES AND LISTENING
• Search the whole text in seconds, with every match marked on the page
• Bookmarks, highlights in four colours and notes; download them as a text file
• Read aloud with your browser's voices, starting from any sentence
• Define a word (Wiktionary) or translate any passage with the browser's built-in translator
HOW TO OPEN A BOOK
Click the Readkave icon and drop a file into the library, or click Add books. On any website, right-click an ebook link and choose Open in Readkave. Downloaded files can also open in the reader by double-click (Settings → Opening files).
PRIVACY
No account, no ads, no tracking. Your files, highlights and reading positions stay in your browser. The internet is used only when you ask for something that needs it: opening a link, looking up a word, translating.
Protected files (Adobe DRM, Readium LCP) can't be opened; you get a clear message instead of a blank page.
