EmbedYT - No Ads by nocookie

### **EmbedYT - Watch YouTube Distraction-Free & Ad-Free** **Take control of your viewing experience. Switch to a clean, full-screen, and privacy-focused player with just one click.** Tired of endless interruptions, cluttered interfaces, and invasive tracking while trying to watch a video? **EmbedYT** is the lightweight solution designed to give you a pure viewing experience. Unlike heavy ad-blockers that can be detected or slow down your browser, EmbedYT uses a smart, native approach. It detects when you open a YouTube video and politely asks if you'd like to switch to **Embed Mode** (via `yout-ube.com`). This mode bypasses the standard player interface, removing advertisements and related video clutter, while protecting your privacy. #### **🌟 Key Features** * **🚫 Ad-Free Experience:** By redirecting to the embed version of the video, you bypass standard pre-roll and mid-roll advertisements effectively. * **🛡️ Enhanced Privacy:** The extension utilizes the `youtube-nocookie` domain, preventing YouTube from tracking your viewing history as aggressively as the standard site. * **⚡ Lightweight & Fast:** No heavy background processes. The script only runs when you are actually on a video page. * **🛑 Non-Intrusive:** We believe in user choice. The extension does not force a redirect; it displays a subtle, non-blocking prompt asking if you want to switch modes. You decide. * **📺 Cinema Mode Ready:** Automatically opens the video in a full-window tab, perfect for focused studying, working, or cinematic enjoyment. * **🎛️ Bypass Restrictions:** The smart redirect mechanism (utilizing playlist parameters) ensures videos play smoothly even where standard embeds might be blocked. #### **🚀 How It Works** 1. Open any YouTube video as you normally would. 2. A small, dark-themed prompt appears in the top-right corner: *"Do you want to watch this video in Embed mode?"* 3. Click **"Yes"**: The extension pauses the original video and instantly opens a new tab with the clean, ad-free version. 4. Click **"No"**: The prompt disappears, and you continue watching normally. #### **🔒 Privacy Policy & Safety** We take your privacy seriously. * **No Data Collection:** EmbedYT does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, browsing history, or login details. * **Open Logic:** The extension simply automates the process of adding a hyphen to the URL (turning `youtube.com` into `yout-ube.com`). It acts as a shortcut for a trick you could do manually, but makes it instant and effortless. #### **📝 Version History** * **v1.0.1:** Initial Release. Added smart prompt, auto-pause feature, and privacy mode toggle. --- **Disclaimer:** This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by YouTube or Google Inc.
