Ekagra: Reels & Shorts Blocker

Ekagra brings calm focus to your browser. The moment you open an endless short-video feed, it shows a gentle full-screen reminder — so you notice the impulse and decide for yourself, instead of scrolling on autopilot. Most blockers just hide short videos. The problem: the habit returns the instant the tool is off, because nothing was learned. Ekagra takes the opposite approach. By giving you a calm pause and a real choice, it strengthens the one thing that lasts anywhere — your own attention. Ekagra works on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels. 🌱 HOW IT WORKS Open Shorts or Reels and a quiet screen appears: "Is this where your attention should go right now?" Wait a few seconds, then choose — go back to what matters, or continue on purpose. No guilt, no harsh lock, no lecture. ✅ A PAUSE, NOT A WALL You stay in full control. The rest of each site works normally — messages, search, subscriptions, and full-length videos are untouched. You lose the infinite scroll, not the apps you actually need. 📊 SEE YOURSELF CLEARLY A simple toolbar popup shows how often you stopped today and your "resist rate" — the share of moments you chose to step away. Watching that number rise is quietly motivating, and it's the awareness real change is built on. 🎛️ ONE TAP, PER SITE Switch the reminder on or off for each site, any time, right from the toolbar. 🤔 WHY A REMINDER BEATS HIDING Tools that simply remove short videos work like training wheels — helpful until the moment they come off. Because you never practiced deciding, the pull is still there on another device, another browser, or the day you uninstall. Ekagra trains the real skill: noticing the urge and choosing on purpose. That self-control travels with you everywhere. 🔐 PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your device. No account, no sign-in, no cloud, no ads, and no data collection. Nothing ever leaves your browser. 🆓 FREE No subscription. No paywall on any feature. ✨ WHO IT'S FOR - Students who need deep study time without the pull of endless feeds - Professionals fighting constant digital distraction - Writers, designers, and developers protecting deep work - Anyone who wants their attention — and their evenings — back ❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED Does it delete or hide my feeds? No. Nothing is removed. You get a calm prompt and choose for yourself — staying in control is the whole point. Will the rest of the site still work? Yes. Messaging, search, subscriptions, and full-length videos keep working normally. Only the endless short-video feed triggers the prompt. Which browsers are supported? It runs on Chrome and other Chromium browsers, including Microsoft Edge and Brave. Is my data safe? Completely. There is no sign-in and no tracking. Your stats are stored locally on your computer and never sent anywhere. Is it really free? Yes — every feature, no paywall, no subscription. Can I use it on my phone too? Yes. The Ekagra Android app brings the same calm approach to mobile, with screen-time insights and app blocking. THE NAME "Ekagra" is Sanskrit for one-pointed focus — attention resting fully on a single thing. This extension exists to help you find it again.
