About EditPDF

EditPDF opens a PDF in its own tab, lets you change it, and saves it back to your computer. Your file never leaves your device: no uploads, no account, no tracking, and the extension asks for no browser permissions. What you can do • Edit existing text: click a line, type the new wording, apply. EditPDF reuses the document's own embedded font when it can, and otherwise uses the closest match and tells you so. • Fill in forms: type into a PDF's fillable fields and tick boxes. Values are saved into the PDF's own form. • Add new text anywhere on a page, in sans, serif or mono, bold or italic, any size and colour. • Undo and redo every change. • Save back to the same file, Save as a new file, or Download. • Every save is rebuilt and re-opened to check it before anything is written. Honest about what PDFs allow • Scanned pages are detected and labelled; their text can't be edited directly. • Text edits are overlays: the original line is covered and the new text drawn on top. The original stays inside the file. This is not redaction, and EditPDF says so on screen. • Encrypted PDFs open view-only. EditPDF never bypasses PDF security. Privacy Everything runs locally in your browser. EditPDF does not collect, store or transmit documents, text, images or any personal data.
