The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About EcomTools - Amazon Listing Details
EcomTools puts the numbers you actually check onto the amazon.in page you
are already looking at, so you stop opening three tabs to answer one
question.
ON A LISTING
A small panel shows the ASIN, the Best Sellers Rank and its sub-rank, how
many sellers are on the offer, how many variations exist, who fulfils it,
the price, the rating and the date the listing first appeared. One click
copies the ASIN. One click saves the listing to a list you can export as
CSV.
ON A SEARCH PAGE
Every result gets a fact strip — rank, sellers and variations — and the
page itself gets a summary: how many results, how many are ads, how many
are Prime, the median price, the price range and the average rating.
ABOUT THE SALES FIGURES
Where Amazon prints its own "bought in past month" figure, that is shown as
Amazon's number, and revenue from it is a floor.
Everything else is an ESTIMATE. Amazon does not publish sales volume, so
units and revenue are modelled from Best Sellers Rank. The curve differs
enormously between categories, so treat the figure as a starting point, not
an answer. You can pin the model to a listing whose real numbers you know,
and every estimate after that follows your own figures.
HOW IT READS THE PAGE
Listing details are read from the page in front of you. On a search page,
each result's page is loaded in the background as you scroll so its rank
and seller count can be filled in — two at a time, and you can switch it
off from the panel.
WHAT LEAVES YOUR COMPUTER
Nothing. There is no account, no server and no analytics. The extension
talks to no one. Your saved list lives in your own browser and is exported
only when you press Download as CSV.
Free, with no account.
