The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About EchoMarks
Your bookmarks, sessions, and browsing history—organized, recoverable, searchable, and protected.
EchoMarks is an advanced bookmark and browsing-session manager designed to turn years of browser clutter into a fast, visual, and dependable personal workspace. Search bookmarks instantly as you type, navigate large folder trees with breadcrumbs, star important pages, reorganize content with drag and drop, and combine search chips with powerful operators for exact matches, exclusions, proximity matching, date ranges, and custom sorting.
Protect sensitive bookmarks with EchoMarks’ encrypted vault. Entire folders and their bookmarks can be removed from the browser’s standard bookmark tree and stored as encrypted data instead. The vault remains hidden during normal browsing and can be searched only through a private, user-defined command—giving users discreet access without leaving sensitive collections exposed in the browser.
EchoMarks also continuously preserves browsing activity through automatic session snapshots. Explore sessions through a visual timeline, restore complete multi-window workspaces, and create permanent custom sessions that remain saved until manually deleted. Smart retention reduces redundant historical snapshots without removing sessions the user has chosen to preserve.
For searches where exact words are not enough, EchoMarks provides optional AI-powered semantic discovery. Users can connect their own OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or OpenRouter key and begin a query with ^ to find bookmarks and sessions by meaning. Semantic matches supplement EchoMarks’ immediate local results rather than replacing them, and AI remains completely disabled unless the user explicitly configures and invokes it.
Additional capabilities include background tab opening without losing the current search, persistent filters and search state, customizable themes and folder colors, keyboard shortcuts, session recovery safeguards, import and export tools, virtualized rendering for large collections, favicon-based navigation, and privacy-conscious local storage.
EchoMarks brings bookmark organization, encrypted storage, session recovery, advanced search, and optional AI discovery together in one focused browser workspace.
