Duty242 - Bahamas Duty Checker

Know your true landed cost in The Bahamas—before you buy. When you shop on Amazon.com, the "Import Fees Deposit" Amazon quotes is often inaccurate—sometimes hundreds of dollars too high, sometimes too low. Duty242 shows you the actual Bahamas landed cost directly on the product page, eliminating surprises at the counter. What it does Real-time Estimates: Adds a clean overlay to Amazon and Ebay product pages showing estimated Bahamas import duty, processing/environmental fees, and VAT. Direct Comparison: Compares our calculation against Amazon's Import Fees Deposit so you can instantly see if you are being over- or under-charged. Smart Classification: Automatically classifies products against the current Bahamas tariff schedule to ensure accurate duty rates. Inflated Fee Alerts: Flags when Amazon's deposit appears padded, signaling when it is worth shopping around or using a different shipping method. Why use Duty242? Budget with confidence: Know the true cost of your purchase before you reach checkout, not after. Stop overpaying: Identify when Amazon’s automated deposit is higher than required. Learn the rules: Instantly understand which product categories are duty-free and which are taxed heavily. Private by design We take your privacy seriously. Minimal permissions: Runs only on Amazon.com product pages. No tracking: We do not collect browsing history or personal data. We only read the product page to compute your estimate.
