About DropClaw – Price Tracker & Price Drop Alerts
Watch your lists. Hear when a price falls.
How a price is saved
DropClaw saves products from any online store and tells you when a price changes. Open the product page and choose This page, or choose Pick on page and click the price yourself. A price is saved automatically only when that page publishes one clear price for that exact page. If the page shows several prices, a “from” price, or no price, the field stays empty and you pick the price. When an Amazon product page shows more than one price for the item, for example a Prime member price and the regular price, This page lists them and you choose which one to track. If the price you chose is no longer on the page, the saved price is not changed and DropClaw asks you to choose again.
Alerts and history
For each product you choose when DropClaw notifies you. On any change: the price went up or down. This is the default for new products. When price drops: only a fall, and if you set a Minimum discount in Settings, only a fall at least that large. Selected targets: the price falls to or below a target price you set and left switched on. Off: no alerts for that product. You can change the default for new products in Settings. You can also be told when an item goes out of stock or comes back (not on Amazon: its pages do not show reliably whether an item is unavailable or only cannot be shipped to your address). Each product keeps a price history.
Lists
Products can sit on their own or inside lists you name, reorder, and collapse. There is no DropClaw account. Your lists stay in Chrome on this computer. Download list saves a copy you can open on another computer. Importing a list requires the Yearly edition.
Free products and the Yearly edition
3 products are free for life, with price checks and alerts included. Deleting a product does not give that free place back, and the address of a free product cannot be changed to a different product. The Yearly edition removes the limit. You pay once and it stays open for one year. It does not renew, and you are not charged again. When the year ends, DropClaw locks, including the first 3 products, until you buy another year. If you buy the Yearly edition, the free products do not come back when it ends.
Payment
You pay once, for one year of use. DropClaw does not renew on its own, and you are not charged again unless you choose to buy another year. Payment is taken by Polar. Leave the payment page open until it says the payment is complete, and DropClaw picks up the license key. If it does not, open the Polar customer portal from Find my key, sign in with the code sent to your email, and paste the key into the license field.
Checks
Prices are not converted. A drop is compared only in the currency printed on the store page. Checks run while Chrome is open, at the interval you set, and never more often than every 30 minutes, plus whenever you press Refresh prices. When you save a product whose price was read from the page with This page or Pick on page, DropClaw also checks that page in the background right away, so that later background checks are compared with a price read the same way. Background checks are sent without your store cookies. If a price cannot be read, the last price that was read stays.
A price can be wrong
A price point can be wrong, missing, or late, on any website. DropClaw is not responsible for a wrong price point. Check the price on the store’s own page before you buy.
Language
The extension is available in English, Türkçe, Español, Português (Brasil), Deutsch and Français. It follows your Chrome language and shows English if that is not one of these. You can choose another language in Settings.
