Dog Gatekeeper

Spend too long on social media? A dog hijacks your screen. You know the feeling — you opened X to check one thing, and forty minutes later you're still scrolling. Willpower alone isn't going to fix it. What you need is a fluffy little gatekeeper who shows up uninvited and refuses to leave until you take a break. That's Dog Gatekeeper. 🐾 HOW IT WORKS 1. Set your usage limit (default: 60 minutes) 2. Set your break duration (default: 5 minutes) 3. When the timer's up, a friendly dog takes over your screen 4. The break countdown only ticks while the tab is focused — no skipping by switching apps 5. After your break, the timer starts fresh 🐾 SUPPORTED SITES • X / Twitter • Instagram • TikTok • YouTube 🐾 HOW THE TIMER COUNTS The timer only runs when the social media tab is active. The moment you switch tabs or apps, the counter resets. You only get the dog overlay if you've been continuously scrolling — so it never interrupts a quick check-in. 🐾 PRIVACY Dog Gatekeeper stores your three settings (usage limit, break duration, on/off) in your local browser storage. Nothing is collected, transmitted, or shared. No analytics. No accounts. No ads. 🐾 FREE FOREVER No ads, no upsells, no premium tier. Just a dog that loves you enough to interrupt your doomscroll.
