DOB NOW Autofill

Stop re-keying NYC DOB filings. Prepare your filing once on DOB Desk, open DOB NOW: Build, and click Fill Entire Filing. The extension walks every tab, types your data into the right fields, and outlines each field it touched in green, so you review instead of retype. It is built on one rule: when the page is ambiguous, it stops and tells you. It does not guess on a document you seal and sign. FILLS THE WHOLE FILING • Plans/Work (PW1) — location, stakeholders, job description, Additional Considerations, Site Characteristics, Work on Floors • Zoning Information — zoning lot details, lot type, zoning districts, map number and street widths from NYC city records (PLUTO and the Digital City Map), plus the plans' zoning analysis • Schedule of Occupancy — floor-by-floor rows from your plans' occupancy table • Scope of Work — every work-type tab on the filing, from structural and foundation work to plumbing, sprinklers, mechanical and demolition • Cost Affidavit (PW3) — cost rows built from your own filed history • Technical Reports (TR1 and TR8 Energy Code) — inspection requirements picked from your work and the code, with your special inspector's details • New Building sub-filings — one prep package also fills the job's Plumbing, Sprinkler and Mechanical sub-filings, each with only its own trades DECODE OBJECTIONS, RIGHT ON THE PAGE Open your filing's objections screen and a Decode Objections button appears. One click reads every objection off the page and matches it against a shared resolution knowledge base built from real NYC filings — plain-English meaning plus the fix, in a panel over the page. Nothing to copy, nothing to paste. Objections it can't match are recorded, and the knowledge base grows from exactly those. BUILT FROM REAL DOB NOW FORMS The scope forms are filled from vocabularies captured off real DOB NOW filings — the extension only ticks checkboxes and picks options that actually exist on the form, and it fills conditional questions that appear only after a gating answer. Questions with no rule of their own are answered only when real filings answer them the same way almost every time, and each one is marked as a default for you to check. Anything it can't settle is flagged "NEEDS YOUR DECISION" in orange. IT REFUSES RATHER THAN GUESS • Checks your prep package against the filing on screen — block, lot and house number must match, or it stops and names both addresses • Exact matching on short codes, so R6 never becomes R6A and C4-2 never becomes C4-2A • Yes/No questions accept only real yes/no answers; blank, "N/A" and "Unknown" are reported back to you, not answered for you • Never overwrites an answer already on the form • Never adds a row that is already on the form — rows already entered are kept, not repeated • Never invents a cost, an area or a unit on a sworn affidavit — a missing number is left blank and called out • Every checkbox and radio it clicks is read back, and reported as stuck if the page didn't take it HONEST PROGRESS The per-job checklist counts what was actually written, not what was merely found. A tab reads "PW1 12/12" in green only when it is complete, and "Structural 6/8" in orange when it is not — so a tab where matching failed cannot quietly look finished. VERIFY, DON'T TRUST • Audit This Page — a read-only check of what's in DOB NOW against your prep package; flags mismatches in orange and changes nothing • If DOB NOW changes a form, DOB Desk can pause that tab remotely and tell you, so you fill it by hand instead of getting a bad fill • A running count of the re-keying you've avoided YOU STAY RESPONSIBLE — AND IN CONTROL • Never touches Statements & Signatures: every attestation and signature is yours (and the owner's) to make in DOB NOW • Never signs, submits or pays • Saves your draft as it goes: DOB NOW won't leave a tab with unsaved changes, so the extension clicks DOB NOW's own Save after a short countdown you can stop (or set in Settings) • Before the first fill you confirm that you'll review every value — the filer / PE / RA remains responsible for what is filed You stay logged in to DOB NOW as yourself, you review every field, and you submit the filing yourself. HELPS IMPROVE DOB DESK After each fill the extension can send a report of the form's layout and which fields it filled or missed, with the DOB job number — never names, emails, addresses or anything typed into DOB NOW.
