About Digital LCD Clock
Digital LCD Clock puts a retro LCD clock on top of any web page. Drag it anywhere, resize it, and make it look the way you like.
WHAT YOU GET
- A floating clock with time, seconds, date, weekday and a second timezone (20 to choose from)
- 12- or 24-hour time, three date formats, and an optional blinking colon when seconds are hidden
- Three case styles: Classic, Compact and Minimal
- Five matched color themes, or set your own screen, bezel and text colors with a color picker or hex code
- Ten built-in bezel designs, from an aviator panel to a circuit board, or use your own photo
- An adjustable LCD "ghosting" effect for the faint unlit segments, just like a real LCD
HOURLY CHIME
- Chime every hour, 30 minutes or 15 minutes
- Choose from nine tones: retro beeps, a digital chime, and soft bell and instrument sounds, or upload your own MP3
- Volume control, quiet hours (for example, no chime overnight) and an option to skip weekends
- Tap the bell on the clock to switch the chime on or off
FLOATING WIDGET
- Drag it from anywhere on the clock, resize it from the corner, or lock its position
- It stays where you put it across pages and browser restarts
- The clock is isolated from the page, so a website's styles can't change how it looks
GETTING STARTED
Click the toolbar icon, turn on "Show clock on web pages", then pick a look. Use the expand button at the top of the settings to open them in a full tab, which is handy when uploading a photo or sound.
Tips: Chrome does not allow extensions to appear on its own pages (such as chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store), so the clock won't show there.
PRIVACY
Your settings, photo and custom sound are stored only in your browser. The extension has no account, no tracking, and makes no network requests. The "all sites" permission is used only to show the clock on the pages you visit.
Permissions explained: all-sites access shows the clock on any page, "storage" saves your settings, "alarms" schedules the chime, and "offscreen" lets the chime play sound.
