The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Dexta Studio — Edit media in your browser
Edit media without uploading it anywhere. Dexta Studio adds a right-click
“Edit with Dexta Studio” menu to Chrome: click any image, video, audio file
or PDF link on a page and open it straight into a free tool — compress,
convert, resize, trim, merge and more. Everything runs in your browser, so
your files never leave your device.
■ 32 free tools, one right-click away
• Video — trim, cut, split, merge, compress, resize, crop, rotate
• Image — resize, crop, compress, convert, rotate, flip, adjust, blur
• PDF — merge, split, compress, rotate, reorder, add page numbers, delete/extract pages
• Audio — trim, merge, compress, convert, normalize, fade, speed, volume
■ Private by design
Files are processed locally with WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded to a
server — the only network request is an anonymous usage counter. That means
no account, no waiting on uploads, and no copies of your files sitting on
someone else’s cloud.
■ Free, no sign-up
Every core tool is free. No account, no email, no watermark.
■ How it works
1. Right-click an image, video, audio file, or a link to a PDF.
2. Choose “Edit with Dexta Studio” → pick a tool.
3. The tool opens with your file already loaded — start editing.
You can also click the toolbar icon any time to jump straight to a tool.
■ Good to know
• Streamed video (e.g. YouTube) is delivered as a temporary stream and can’t
be handed off; direct media files work.
• Very large videos may be slow to load into the tool. Images, audio and PDFs
are the fastest.
Made for anyone who compresses a video, merges a couple of PDFs, resizes an
image or converts an audio clip and doesn’t want to upload private files to a
random website to do it.
