About Default Speed for YouTube
Stop changing the speed on every video. Pick a default playback speed and YouTube opens everything at it — and the player's settings menu shows the right value (e.g. 1.5x) instead of "Normal".
FEATURES
• Default speed from 0.25x to 4x, with slider, − / + buttons and quick presets (1.0 · 1.25 · 1.5 · 1.75 · 2.0 · 3.0).
• Per-channel speed: 2x for news, 1x for lectures or music, for example.
• Optional: don't apply to live streams.
• Optional: don't apply to music videos.
• Optional: don't apply to videos shorter than 1 minute.
• Alt+S shortcut: quickly toggle between the default speed and 1x, with an on-screen notice.
• One-click on/off; the icon turns gray when off and a badge shows the speed.
• Backup: export and import your settings.
• Manual speed changes during a video are respected until the next video.
