The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About DEAD SIMPLE REFRESH
reload the active browser tab on a schedule.
what it does:
- set any interval from 5 seconds to 1 hour, or pick a preset (30s, 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h)
- optional repeat count. stop after N reloads, or leave blank to run forever
- optional hard refresh to bypass the browser cache
- per-tab control. refreshing one tab does not affect any other
- live countdown to the next reload in the popup, plus a counter on the toolbar icon
how it works:
click the toolbar icon. pick the interval. hit start. the popup shows a status banner with a live mm:ss countdown. when a page is mid-load, the countdown pauses until the page finishes, plus a 2.5 second settle delay, so your timer measures viewing time, not loading time. click stop to end early, or close the tab to cancel automatically.
permissions:
- tabs: identify and reload the active tab, detect tab close
- storage: remember your settings and per-tab state
- alarms: schedule the timed reloads
