Dark Mode for Google Docs™ – Night Theme

Google Docs opens on a bright white page and has no built-in dark theme on the desktop web. This extension adds one. Open a document and the page switches to a dark background with light text. Contrast is tuned so that headings, tables and comments stay readable, and one click on the toolbar icon switches everything back. What you get • A dark theme applied directly to docs.google.com — not a full-page colour inversion. • Instant on and off from the extension icon, with no page reload. • Balanced contrast and crisp text, so a long document is still comfortable to read at 2 a.m. • Your file itself is untouched. The change is visual and local to your browser, so collaborators keep seeing the original formatting. • Nothing to configure. Install it and it works. Who it is for Students writing late, authors and editors who spend hours inside a single document, developers and analysts whose editor is already black, and anyone who finds a white page tiring in a dimly lit room. How to use it 1. Install the extension. 2. Open any document on docs.google.com. 3. Click the icon in the Chrome toolbar to turn the theme on or off. Scope This extension works on docs.google.com.
