The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Crumb: Hide Sponsored & Irrelevant Shopping Results
You searched for a desk. Not a desk lamp, not a sofa, not an ad.
Crumb reads each listing against your search and clears the unrelated results and sponsored tiles, so the page shows what you came for. Search the way you always do; Crumb works quietly as results load and as you scroll.
Works on 73 supported shopping sites.
See supported domains and availability: https://hicrumb.com/supported-sites
WHAT IT DOES
• Hides unrelated listings: accessories, parts, and near-misses that don't match your search, including specs you asked for, like 16GB RAM, queen size, or solid wood.
• Hides sponsored results: a separate switch removes supported ads.
• Brings everything back: turn filtering off to restore every hidden listing. Nothing is deleted.
• Stays out of your way: free, no account, no signup. Use the on-page toggle or the toolbar popup.
• Shows your progress: see how much Crumb has cleared, with ads counted separately.
HOW TO START
Install Crumb, open a supported store in desktop Chrome, and search as usual. Availability depends on the store, region, and page type. Crumb doesn't buy anything, contact sellers, or change your store account.
FREE TO USE
Shared service allowances keep Crumb free. When one is reached, new AI filtering pauses; cached decisions and ad removal keep working. Advanced also lets you use your own TypeSafe API key, billed to your TypeSafe account.
PRIVACY
When AI filtering is on, your search and listing text are sent to Crumb's backend and TypeSafe to assess relevance. Listing IDs match responses to tiles. The hosted service also uses an installation identifier, network information, and separate counts of filtered listings and hidden ads for usage and reliability metrics. Crumb does not send listing images, store cookies, or private messages.
Optional sharing helps improve Crumb's filtering model. If you allow it in the extension, searches, listing text, and filtering results are retained for up to one year. Sharing is off until you agree. Turn it off or delete shared data under Advanced. Personal-key mode is excluded. Website requests and feedback are sent only when you submit them. Feedback includes your chosen topic, optional response, site domain, and extension version. On supported pages you can choose to attach the current search and its listings with Crumb's decisions; you can untick it before sending. See the privacy policy for retention and provider details.
Relevance judgments can be imperfect. Turn filtering off whenever you want to see all results again.
Crumb is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the supported stores.
