Cruelty-Free Compass

Shop with a clear conscience on Amazon and Sephora. Cruelty-Free Compass is your automated ethical shopping assistant that reveals the truth behind the brands you buy. While a product might claim to be "Cruelty-Free," the parent company often isn't. We dig deep into ownership data, ingredient lists, and PETA/Leaping Bunny certifications to give you a clear Red (Avoid) or Green (Safe) signal instantly. 🌿 KEY FEATURES: • Parent Company Scanner: Instantly detects if a brand is owned by a corporation that tests on animals (e.g., detecting L'Oreal ownership of "cruelty-free" brands). • Ingredient Inspector: Automatically highlights non-vegan ingredients like Carmine, Lanolin, and Collagen in beauty products. • Greenwashing Detector: Flags tricky marketing terms like "Vegetable Tanned Leather" (which is still animal skin) or "Organic Wool." • Instant Alternatives: Found a product that tests on animals? We automatically recommend a highly-rated, vegan, and cruelty-free alternative. • Supported Sites: Works seamlessly on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.ca 🔍 HOW IT WORKS: 1. Browse Amazon as usual. 2. A small banner will appear above the product title. 3. GREEN = Safe to buy (Vegan & Cruelty-Free). 4. RED = Warning (Animal testing detected or non-vegan ingredients). 5. Click "Find Alternative" to get an instant vegan recommendation. 🔒 PRIVACY & DATA USAGE: We take your privacy seriously. Cruelty-Free Compass does NOT track your browsing history or collect personal data. • We only scan the product page you are currently viewing to check the brand and ingredients. • Search queries (product titles) are processed anonymously to find alternatives. • We do not sell your data to third parties. DISCLOSURE: Cruelty-Free Compass is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our extension, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you.
