About Comps — what did it actually sell for?

Asking prices lie. Sold prices do not. Anyone can list a coat at ninety pounds. That tells you nothing about whether a coat like that ever sells for ninety pounds. Comps reads eBay's completed sales, works out what things genuinely go for, subtracts the fees and postage everyone forgets, and tells you what you would actually keep. Built for the moment you are stood in a charity shop holding something, wondering if it is worth four quid. WHAT IT DOES Real sold prices. Not listings, not hopes. Completed sales, read from eBay's own results. The median, not the average. One person overpaying wildly should not convince you that yours is worth that. Comps uses the middle of the market, so a single silly sale cannot skew your decision. Profit after everything. eBay's cut, your postage, what you paid. The number that decides things is the one you get to keep. A straight verdict. Buy it, Worth it, Marginal, Leave it, or Walk away. No dashboards to interpret at six in the morning at a car boot. Live listings going too cheap. Every search also checks what is on sale right now. If somebody is selling the same thing well under the usual price, postage included, it lands in front of you. Useful whether you are buying for yourself or sourcing to flip. The price range. See the full spread and where the middle half of sales cluster, so you know whether condition matters a lot for this item or barely at all. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No bidding. No buying. No listing. No messaging. Comps opens eBay's own search pages, reads the prices already printed there, and closes them again. Exactly what you could do by hand, only faster and with the arithmetic done. PRIVACY Nothing is collected, stored, or sent anywhere. No account, no sign up, no analytics, no server of mine. Your searches vanish when you close the popup. WHO MADE IT A computer science student who sells second hand to get through uni, and got tired of guessing. Comps has a sister called Shoebox that keeps your Vinted sales filed for tax, plus a free checker that tells you whether HMRC needs to hear from you at all. Fee figures are estimates rounded in eBay's favour, so reality is usually kinder. Not affiliated with eBay. Found a bug or want a feature? Tell me and I will actually fix it.
