Save links to Apple Notes, with your own notes.
Click the Commonplace icon on any web page, pick a note in Apple Notes, type a comment if you like, and save. Commonplace adds the link to the end of that note, with the page title, the date and your comment.
Tip: select some text on the page before you click the icon, and it's added to your comment for you.
- Save to any note, in any folder
- Remembers the note you used last
- Removes tracking junk from links
- Works in light and dark mode
NEEDS A FREE MAC APP
Chrome can't reach Apple Notes on its own, so Commonplace uses a small free Mac app, Commonplace Helper, to add the link to your note. It's signed and notarized by Apple.
1. Download it: https://victorshammas.com/commonplace/
2. Drag it to Applications and open it once.
3. Allow the permissions it asks for.
Requires a Mac (macOS 13 or later) with Apple Notes. Works in Chrome, Brave, Edge, Arc and Vivaldi.
PRIVATE AND OPEN SOURCE
Everything stays on your Mac. No accounts, no tracking, nothing sent anywhere.
