The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

PRIVACY & HOW IT WORKS
Comment Finder uses the official YouTube API Services to look up public comments. It does not scrape YouTube pages, does not require a YouTube login, and does not keep a permanent comment database. Search results stay on your device for the current browser session only.
Permissions are limited to what the extension needs: reading the active YouTube tab URL to know which video or channel to search, local/session storage for consent and temporary results, and a side panel option for a persistent search view.
