About ClipStitch · Video screenshots & caption collages
ClipStitch lets you capture key moments from online videos with one click and automatically combine multiple caption screenshots into one long image. Capture, stitching, and editing happen locally, and captured material is stored locally in your browser.
【Single-frame screenshots】
Copy the current video frame or download a PNG / JPG screenshot with one click.
【Caption collages】
After starting capture, pausing playback automatically takes a screenshot. Ending capture automatically stitches the screenshots together.
For enabled, readable page captions or standard text tracks, screenshots can be captured automatically as the captions change.
For captions burned into the video or page captions that cannot be read, use capture on pause.
【Editing and export】
Adjust the height of each screenshot individually, or adjust caption-strip heights in batches and export screenshots as a ZIP.
【Limitations】
Automatic capture depends on readable caption sources and is not supported on every video or website. Some Bilibili and YouTube player captions are currently supported. Auto-generated captions that update word by word, complex embedded players, and certain page types may not work reliably. Burned-in captions use capture on pause. Page screenshots require the video tab to remain in the foreground. Switching tabs ends capture and keeps existing results. In fullscreen mode, the buttons appear and disappear with the player controls. They may briefly disappear while a page screenshot is being taken.
Each capture session keeps up to 120 original images, including the first frame, or 150 MiB of original image data. Existing results are retained if a limit is exceeded. Starting a new capture session replaces the previous editable material, so download any images you want to keep first. Deleting screenshots cannot be undone, and copying replaces the contents of the system clipboard.
The extension does not send captured material to the developer or third parties. It has no analytics, advertising trackers, or remote executable code. To provide screenshot functionality, it locally processes video frames, readable captions, video titles, and related page and playback state.
