About Clip — your personal web library
Clip is your personal library of the web. With this extension you save what you find while you browse and keep it organized and at hand when you need it.
• Save the page you are viewing, a link, or just the text you selected: with one click, from the right-click menu ("Save this page to Clip" and the options for a link, a selection or an image), or with the Alt+Shift+S shortcut.
• Pick a folder, add a note and tags, or mark it for "Read later".
• Made a mistake? Undo the save right away.
• When you open it, it tells you if the page you are on is already in your library, so you edit it instead of saving it twice.
• Save every tab in the window at once, into a new folder.
• Search your library without leaving the page you are on, or from the address bar: type "clip", a space and what you remember.
• Bring in your browser bookmarks with their folders. Permission to read them is requested only at that moment.
• Offline? Your saves wait in the browser and sync on their own when the network is back.
• No passwords: you sign in with a code sent to your email.
Privacy: the extension only connects to Clip, does not read your history, uses no analytics or advertising, and does not read pages in the background. It sends Clip what you save, what you search for and, when you open it, the address of the current tab to tell you whether it was already saved; that check stores nothing.
You need a Clip account. It's free.
