Click again and the original page is fully restored. Why Clean Read · Code blocks preserved as-is: indentation and line breaks stay exactly as written. Automatic syntax highlighting covers JavaScript, Python, Go and other common languages; unrecognized languages are auto-detected. Hover a block to copy it in one click · One-click Markdown export: save the cleaned article (navigation, ads and comments removed) as a .md file — headings, tables, lists, quotes and fenced code blocks with language tags included; links and images are converted to absolute URLs. FAQ Q: Will it break the page layout? A: No. The extension never touches the HTML structure — it only hides non-article nodes and overrides layout with CSS. On exit, the full-page snapshot is restored, as if nothing ever happened. Q: The shortcut doesn't work? A: It may conflict with another extension. Change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Q: Is the exported Markdown uploaded anywhere? A: No. Export happens entirely in your browser: the text is generated from the current reading view and downloaded directly as a .md file, with no network requests at all. Q: Does it collect my data? A: No. The extension makes no network requests and collects or uploads nothing. Font size and width preferences are stored locally on your machine only.
