Clacky

Clacky plays a satisfying mechanical keyboard sound on every key you press in Chrome. Built for typing tests like Monkeytype, works on every site. WHAT YOU GET • Real switch recordings — separate key-down and key-up samples, with variation so fast typing never sounds like a loop • Zero latency — sounds are decoded once and played the instant a key goes down • One-click on/off keycap and a volume slider. That's the whole settings screen • Works everywhere you type in Chrome PRIVATE BY DESIGN Clacky only listens for which physical key was pressed (letter, space, enter, backspace) to choose a sound. It never reads, stores or sends what you type. No account, no analytics, no network requests while typing. Try it in your browser before installing: https://yashraj-dm.github.io/clacky/
