The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Ciev Recorder
Ciev Recorder records the online meetings you join in Chrome and sends them to your Ciev.ai workspace. There, each meeting becomes a transcript, a summary and a searchable record of what was discussed and decided, for you, your team and the AI tools you work with.
How it works
When a call starts in a supported meeting app, Ciev Recorder asks whether you want to record it. One click starts the recording. If you prefer, you can turn on auto-record during setup, and calls will record on their own. A short countdown lets you skip any call, and you can turn auto-record off for each app at any time. On any other tab, click the Ciev icon in the toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+E (Command+Shift+E on Mac).
The recording includes the audio of everyone in the call, your own voice (it respects your mute), and whatever is being presented, including your own screen share.
Sent straight to Ciev
Recordings upload to your Ciev workspace while the meeting is still going, so processing starts as soon as the call ends. Ciev turns each meeting into a transcript, a summary and a list of decisions that you can search later.
If you have not connected a Ciev account, recordings stay inside the extension on your computer, and you can save any of them as an MP4 file.
Reliable by design
The recording is saved to your computer every few seconds, so closing the tab or a browser crash loses only a few seconds, not the whole meeting. Uploads resume automatically after a lost connection or when your laptop wakes from sleep. Saved files are standard MP4 videos that play anywhere.
You stay in control
Nothing is recorded unless you click Record, or you have turned on auto-record for that app yourself. While a recording is running, a small indicator appears on the meeting page and the Ciev toolbar icon shows that recording is on. When you present your screen, the on-page indicator moves out of the way so it is not shown to others, and the toolbar icon keeps showing that you are recording.
Recordings are sent only to your own Ciev workspace. The extension has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Please tell the people in your meetings that you are recording, and ask for their consent where the law requires it.
