ChessPause: Play Less, Win More

ChessPause helps you stop the "one more game" cycle on Chess.com and Lichess. Set a daily playing limit, pause when you reach it, and earn extra playing time by studying. Make room for the puzzles, analysis, books, and courses you keep meaning to get back to. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add your Chess.com or Lichess username, or both, and choose your daily playing limit. 2. Play as usual. ChessPause tracks playing time and pauses supported new-game controls when your limit is reached. 3. Finish your current game, then open the Study room and start a study timer. 4. Study using your favorite resources. When the timer finishes, your chosen amount of extra playing time becomes available. MAKE IT YOUR PLAN - Choose your daily limit, study duration, and the extra playing time a study session earns. - See remaining playing time or study time on the toolbar badge. - Pick and reorder study resources, or add your own websites. - Study with puzzles, game analysis, a book, or a course. Rewards are based on the timer; ChessPause does not grade or verify your studying. - Customize the heading and message of your pause reminder. - Enable an optional sound when your study session finishes. - Turn study rewards off if you prefer a daily limit without extra time. YOUR SETTINGS STAY LOCAL No ChessPause account is required. Settings and activity records are stored in your browser. ChessPause uses the public Chess.com and Lichess APIs to check the usernames you provide and retrieve game history.
