The extension takes a screenshot of the listing you are looking at, reads its text, and sends both to checkthisdealforme.com, where Google's Gemini model reads the item, its condition and the asking price. A few seconds later the popup shows: - A verdict: Good Deal, Fair Price or Overpriced - The asking price against the item's fair market value used, and how far apart they are - An offer to make, with a message to the seller ready to copy - Red flags: signs of a scam or a problem the listing hints at - What to check or ask before you pay - Comparable items, each linked to what it has sold for Opening the popup on a listing someone has already appraised shows that appraisal right away, free, even before you sign in. Re-appraise asks for a fresh one if the seller changed the listing. You can close the popup while it works; the result is waiting when you open it again. Appraisals are saved, so reopening the popup on the same listing shows the result without spending another credit. Every appraisal is also kept in your history on checkthisdealforme.com.
