About CatchNote
CatchNote — Save anything on the web, and let AI organize it for you.
CatchNote is the browser companion to the CatchNote mobile app: the AI second brain that turns everything you mean to come back to — articles, PDFs, links, notes, and ideas — into an organized, searchable library. With the CatchNote Chrome extension, your saves live right beside the page you're reading, in a clean side panel, and they stay perfectly in sync with your phone.
Stop losing the things you save. Most people bookmark an article, screenshot a recipe, or copy a link "for later" — and never see it again. Bookmarks pile up, tabs multiply, and your best finds disappear into a graveyard you never open. CatchNote fixes that. Save in one click, let AI file it into the right folder with tags and a short summary, and rediscover it exactly when it's relevant.
WHAT CATCHNOTE DOES
CatchNote is a web clipper, bookmark manager, read-it-later app, and AI note organizer in one. Instead of dumping links into a flat list, it understands what you saved and organizes it for you — automatically. The Chrome extension brings that power into your browser, while the mobile app keeps your library with you everywhere you go.
— A SIDE PANEL THAT WORKS WHERE YOU DO
The CatchNote extension opens as a side panel next to any web page, so you never lose your place. Read on the left, save and organize on the right. No new tabs, no pop-ups, no context switching. Capture an article without leaving it, glance at related notes while you read, and keep your reading flow intact.
— RECALL: YOUR NOTES FIND YOU
This is the feature people fall in love with. As you browse, CatchNote's Recall automatically surfaces the notes you've already saved that relate to the page you're on. Researching a topic you looked into last month? Recall quietly brings back what you saved, so your past self helps your present self. It is the opposite of a bookmark graveyard: instead of you hunting for that link you swear you saved, the link comes to you at the exact moment it matters. Over time, Recall turns a passive archive into an active research partner.
— CLUSTER: INSTANT FOLDER FILTERING
Cluster filters let you slice your library by folder in a single tap. Jump from "Recipes" to "Work research" to "Travel" instantly, right inside the side panel, without digging through menus. When you are deep in one project, Cluster keeps everything else out of the way so you can focus.
— MULTI-SHARE TO FIVE FORMATS
Select a single item, several items, or an entire folder, and export or share them in the format you actually use: Markdown, Notion, Obsidian, Office, or email. CatchNote fits into the tools you already work in, instead of locking your knowledge inside one more silo. Gathered ten sources for an essay? Send the whole folder to Notion or Obsidian and start writing. Need to pass research to a colleague? Email it in one move.
— INLINE EDIT
Edit a saved item's title, AI summary, tags, or folder right in the side panel. Fix anything the AI got slightly wrong, add your own context, and reorganize on the fly. Your library stays clean because tidying it never takes more than a few seconds.
— REAL-TIME, TWO-WAY SYNC WITH YOUR PHONE
Save something on your laptop and it appears on your phone instantly; edit on your phone and it updates in the extension. CatchNote keeps your desktop and mobile libraries in lockstep with real-time, two-way sync, so there is only ever one source of truth. Start researching at your desk, finish reading on the train — your library follows you.
— ANONYMOUS PAIRING, NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED
Connecting your devices takes a 6-digit code — no email, no password, no sign-up. CatchNote uses anonymous pairing, so you get cross-device sync without handing over your identity. It is privacy by design, not as an afterthought.
FROM A MESSY BOOKMARKS BAR TO A SECOND BRAIN
A bookmark only helps if you remember it exists. A pile of open tabs is just stress you can see. CatchNote replaces both with something that organizes itself and gives back what you saved when it is useful. That is the difference between storing information and actually building a second brain — a personal knowledge base that grows more valuable the more you use it.
HOW CATCHNOTE COMPARES
- Versus bookmarks: bookmarks are a flat, manual list you forget. CatchNote auto-files saves into folders with tags and summaries, and resurfaces them with Recall.
- Versus a wall of open tabs: tabs are temporary and overwhelming. CatchNote lets you close the tab and trust that the page is saved, organized, and findable.
- Versus a plain read-it-later app: most just store articles. CatchNote organizes them with AI and connects them to everything else you have saved.
- Versus a heavy note app: no database setup, no templates, no friction. Save in one click and let AI handle the structure.
HOW IT WORKS
1) Install the extension and open the side panel.
2) Pair with your CatchNote mobile app using a 6-digit code — or use the extension on its own.
3) Save pages, links, and notes as you browse; AI organizes them automatically with folders, tags, and summaries.
4) Let Recall resurface related saves, filter with Cluster, edit inline, and share to your favorite format.
WHAT MAKES THE ORGANIZATION SMART
When you save a page, CatchNote does not just store a link. It reads the content, understands the topic, and files it into the right folder — creating a new folder when one does not exist yet — then adds tags and a concise summary so a single glance tells you what is inside. You can always adjust the result with Inline Edit, but most of the time the AI gets it right and you do nothing at all. The longer you use CatchNote, the smarter your library feels, because everything is structured the moment it arrives instead of weeks later when you finally give up and start cleaning.
