About Cashbackproof
Cashback portals decline claims with one line: "we have no record of your click." Cashbackproof keeps the record.
THE RECORD
Shop through TopCashback, Quidco, Rakuten or Capital One Shopping and Cashbackproof records the click-trail as it happens: every redirect hop, the affiliate click ID (the same ID in the portal's own logs), timestamps, session continuity, your order number and total, and a locally masked screenshot of the confirmation page, all hashed with SHA-256 at capture time. The icon shows BEFORE you pay whether the tracking chain is intact or another extension overwrote your attribution.
DECLINE ALERTS
Cashbackproof reads your portal activity pages once a day in your own browser session (never your password) and tells you when a pending claim is declined or quietly vanishes. The alert links the decline to its record and shows how long you have left to file with the portal.
THE DISPUTE PACKET
A declined claim's record becomes a PDF (click ID, redirect timeline, integrity hashes, screenshot), made on your device, for you to send to the portal with your missing-cashback claim.
WHAT IT NEVER DOES
· No <all_urls>: Cashbackproof can see the four portals, the affiliate networks it ships with, the networks you approve, and, one purchase at a time, the retailer you approve. Approved networks stay until you remove them in the vault or in Chrome.
· Read-only: no request-blocking or request-modifying permissions, and it never sets or removes a cookie, so it leaves your attribution alone.
· No tracking scripts, no analytics service. All evidence lives in your browser. Export or erase it any time; the free-tier count on the Cashbackproof server can be deleted from the vault's settings.
· The complete network surface: your own portal pages; license activation, deactivation and a ~weekly check (Pro), which send the license key (and, after activation, its instance id) to license.cashbackproof.com; the free-tier usage count, which sends the same server the portal's name and your portal account id once per account, at your first click-out while signed in (stored only as a keyed hash), your browser's name and the extension's version when the install registers, then at most daily (and when you delete the record) a random id for each saved bundle, all signed with a key created on this device (the server keeps its public half to tell installs apart; on Pro, the license certificate replaces the account id); the checkout links the free vault fetches (no identifiers sent); optional hash-only timestamp anchoring (off by default).
Free: every feature; evidence for your first 10 purchases, then 3 a month. Tracking checks never stop, and saved evidence is never locked.
Pro ($4.99/mo or $39/yr, coming soon): unlimited evidence capture.
The click ID in each record is the one in your portal's click history, so the portal can check it against its own logs.
