About CaptureKit - Full Page Screenshot & Annotate

Take a full page screenshot of any website in one click, mark it up with a complete editor, hide sensitive details with on-device AI, and save it your way, all locally in your browser. No account, no tracking, and nothing uploaded unless you turn on a feature that does. ★ CAPTURE, YOUR WAY • Full page — automatically scrolls and stitches the entire page into one tall, seam-free image. • Scrolling screenshot ("capture more") — scroll to exactly where you want it to end, then click Done, like a phone's scrolling screenshot. • Visible area — grab just what's on screen. • Region — drag a box to capture any part of the page. • Element picker — hover to highlight any element (card, table, section) and click to capture exactly it; press ↑/↓ to widen or narrow the selection to the parent/child. • Scrollable area — capture the full contents of an inner scroll box — a chat thread, side panel, or scrolling table — including everything hidden behind its own scrollbar. Works both vertically and horizontally, and auto-highlights the scroll container as you hover. • Timer — add a 3s or 5s delay to capture hover menus, tooltips, and dropdowns. • Desktop / window (NEW in 1.8) — capture another app's window, another tab, or a whole screen, not just the page you're on. Your browser's own sharing prompt asks what to capture every time, so it needs no extra permission, and a short countdown lets you bring the right window forward. The shot opens in the normal editor. ★ RECORD VIDEO & GIFs (NEW in 1.8) • Record the tab you're on in one click — or pick any other tab, an app window, or your whole screen in the browser's own sharing prompt. • Keep the tab's sound (still audible while it records) and add your microphone. Mute the mic mid-recording from any of the controls: silence in the file, and the browser never re-asks for permission. • A countdown before recording starts (3 seconds by default) gives you time to switch to whatever you're recording. Esc cancels. • Pause, resume, and stop from a small floating bar you can drag anywhere — it stays out of tab recordings — or from the popup, or your own keyboard shortcut. The toolbar icon shows a red badge with the elapsed time, and recording auto-stops at your limit (30 seconds to 10 minutes). • Trim before you save: drag the handles, press I / O to set the in and out points, nudge them with the arrow keys. • Annotate the clip itself: pen, marker, arrows, lines, boxes, ovals, text, numbered steps, blur, pixelate, redaction, and spotlight, drawn right onto the video. Each annotation can cover the whole clip or only the seconds you pick. Blur and pixelate follow the moving picture, so a box over a name keeps covering it as it scrolls. • Save as MP4 (H.264 — the format PowerPoint, Keynote, Premiere, phones, and Windows Photos all accept), WebM, or an animated GIF (10 or 15 fps, at the width you choose). Or send any frame to the screenshot editor as an ordinary capture. • Drag the finished clip straight out of the player into any app that takes a file, or copy a frame to your clipboard as a PNG. • Recordings join your local history with a duration badge — reopen, re-trim, re-annotate, download, or delete them later. • All of it runs on your device: recording, trimming, annotating, and converting to GIF or MP4. Nothing is uploaded, and there's no account. ★ A COMPLETE ANNOTATION TOOLKIT • Draw with pen, line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse, and highlighter — with dashed lines, single/double arrow heads, and adjustable opacity. • Callouts / speech bubbles — a rounded bubble with an editable tail that points at anything. • Emoji stamps — one-click 👍 ✅ ⚠️ ⭐ 🔥 💡 🐛 markers plus a custom-emoji input; vector-rendered so they stay crisp at any zoom. • Add text labels with Bold / Italic, a glyph Outline for busy backgrounds, and a filled Background pill for readability. NEW: superscript and subscript (m², H₂O, footnote¹), taller pills with top/middle/bottom alignment, and double-click to edit text you've placed. • Numbered step markers (1, 2, 3…) for tutorials and bug reports. NEW: Auto-number proposes a marker over every button or link on the page, in reading order, and you accept them in one click. • Redact three ways: blur, pixelate, or a solid black bar. Spotlight dims everything outside a region to focus attention. NEW in 1.8: the Object blur brush — paint over an avatar, logo, or email address and the blur follows the object's outline, not a rectangle. • Insert an image or watermark — drop in a logo, resize, rotate, and dial down opacity; it bakes right into the export. • Crop to any size — with presets for 1:1 / 4:3 / 16:9 / 9:16 and social cards (Twitter/X 1200×675, OG 1200×630, LinkedIn 1200×627). NEW in 1.8: Smart crop trims blank or solid-color margins in one click. • Any color with a custom picker AND an eyedropper that samples your screenshot. It picks up a shape's exact color rather than the blend you see through it, and a Recent-colors row gives one-click reuse. Picking a color recolors whatever is selected. • Select, multi-select with marquee or Shift-click, move, resize, rotate, duplicate, copy/paste, reorder, delete. Full undo/redo. • Align & Distribute: line up multiple shapes on any edge or space them with equal gaps. Snap guides line shapes up with each other's edges and centers and with the screenshot's edges and center, whether you're moving or resizing. • Lock / Hide shapes: pin a watermark so it can't move, or hide a shape without deleting it. • Save your tool styles as named Style Presets for one-click reuse of your favorite color + size + opacity combinations. • Shape templates (NEW): save a watermark, corner badge, or set of steps and drop it onto any capture. It lands in the same corner, even on a different-size screenshot. • Keyboard-friendly (NEW): 1–9 switch tools, hold Space to pan around long captures. ★ AI FEATURES (off by default) Turn these on in Settings → AI features. They run on your device and only suggest changes — nothing is applied un…
