The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Callina: Prices in Your Currency & Work Hours
Callina shows you what foreign prices really cost, in your own currency and in hours of your own work. And a judgmental cartoon cat reacts to every one.
$49.99 becomes $49.99 [≈ Rs 16,492 · 2.4 h]
HOW IT WORKS
- Finds prices on any web page: $ € £ ¥ ₹ Rs and about 40 more currencies, in any number format (1,234.56 / 1.234,56 / lakh grouping / $1.2k / $2 billion)
- Converts them to your home currency (Sri Lankan Rupees by default, changeable to any supported currency)
- Enter your income once and see how many minutes, hours or days you'd work to pay for each price
- Hover, tap or tab to a badge to see the exact conversion, the rate used and its date
MEET THE CATS
12 original hand-drawn animated cats, with six price moods from "Pocket change" to "Absolutely not". Each mood has its own cat, face and set of one-liners. Prefer one cat? Pick a favourite mascot, or upload your own images.
MADE TO BE USEFUL
- Smart handling of ambiguous symbols ($, ¥, kr, Rs) using page data, the site's domain, and your per-site setting
- Price ranges, split prices (like Amazon's) and abbreviations like £5m
- 6 colour themes that follow light/dark mode
- Turn it off for any site with one click
- Works offline using cached rates (refreshed every 12 hours)
- Respects reduced-motion settings
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account, no backend, no analytics, no ads
- The only network request is for a public exchange-rate table, which contains nothing about you or the pages you visit
- Your settings stay in Chrome (and sync through your own Google account if Chrome sync is on)
Exchange rates come from free public sources (fawazahmed0/exchange-api and ExchangeRate-API open access). Rates are indicative and may differ from your bank's rate.
