BSOS Clip

BSOS Clip saves what you're reading or watching so you can come back to it — and, if you run the companion knowledge base, ask questions about it. WHAT IT DOES • On an ordinary page: saves a PDF to your Google Drive or your computer. • On a YouTube watch page: downloads the video file and, when captions exist, its transcript. • Optionally forwards each clip to your own self-hosted "AI Desktop" knowledge base, then offers an "Ask AI" button that opens a chat with that file already attached. HOW IT WORKS • Right-click and choose BSOS Clip, click the toolbar button, or press the keyboard shortcut. All three do exactly the same thing — there is nothing to configure per clip. • BSOS Clip reads only the page you act on, only when you act. Nothing runs in the background. • Files are named after the page title and land in the folder you connected once. ABOUT THE VIDEO DOWNLOAD On YouTube, the default action downloads the video rather than a page snapshot, because a screenshot of a video page is not useful later. It uses only the progressive streams YouTube's own player returns — no DRM circumvention, no stream merging — one video at a time, started by you. It is meant for keeping reference material in a personal or internal knowledge base. PRIVACY • Clips go to YOUR Google Drive and/or YOUR computer. BSOS Clip has no server of its own. • Settings stay in your browser. No analytics, no tracking, nothing sold.
