The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Browser Audio Recorder
Browser Audio Recorder lets you record audio from the active Chrome tab and download the recording to your computer.
Use it when you want to save audio from a website playing in Chrome, such as an online class, webinar, podcast, training video, web app, music preview, livestream, or browser-based meeting.
You can start recording the current tab, pause and resume when needed, stop the recording, and save the audio locally as a compact WebM/Opus file.
Key features:
• Record audio from the active Chrome tab
• Pause and resume recording
• Download recordings directly to your computer
• Save compact WebM/Opus audio files
• Choose Voice, Standard, or High quality
• Keep recent recording history locally
• Works without an account
• No cloud upload
• No remote audio storage
Privacy first:
Your recordings are created locally in your browser and saved on your device. Browser Audio Recorder does not upload, store, sell, or share your audio recordings. Settings and recording history metadata are stored locally in Chrome.
Important note:
Recordings are saved as WebM/Opus files. These files play in Chrome, VLC, and modern browsers. Some default media players may not support WebM audio.
