The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About BookSync Manager
A full-tab Chrome bookmark manager with tags, ⌘K search, a guided Cleanup mode and on-device AI.
Never lose a bookmark again.
You have 500+ bookmarks. Folders named "Useful," "Misc," and "Read Later 2." You Google things you already saved. Chrome's bookmark manager hasn't changed in years — BookSync Manager is the bookmark manager Chrome should have built.
BookSync Manager opens as a full tab and turns your existing Chrome bookmarks into something you can actually find things in. No import, no setup, no account. Install it, open it, done.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
🏷️ Tags and notes
Tag bookmarks, add a note on why you saved them, filter by tag, date added or last used. Everything is searchable.
🔍 Any bookmark, one keystroke away
Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) and type to jump to a bookmark by title, address, tag or folder.
🧠 Search by meaning
Turn on semantic search in the Search filters and results are ranked by meaning — "that article about async Rust" turns up even when those words aren't in the title. The small model downloads once and runs on your device.
🧹 Cleanup mode — short sessions, one decision at a time
• Untagged: AI suggests tags from your own tag list — you accept or skip
• Duplicates: keep one copy, merge the tags, trash the rest
• Stale: bookmarks you haven't opened in 6+ months
• Broken links: a link check finds pages that are gone (404/410) or unreachable, and a report lets you keep or trash them in bulk
• Organize all: groups loose bookmarks into new folders — preview first, apply in one click
Every change is logged and can be undone from History & undo.
🤖 AI that runs on your device
Suggestions and folder names come from Gemini Nano, the model built into Chrome, and semantic search from a small open-source model — both run inside your browser. If your Chrome or hardware can't run them, smart heuristics take over.
✨ Optional: Jev by TypeSafe
Want sharper picks? Add your own TypeSafe API key in Settings → AI and Jev suggests tags and files loose bookmarks into your existing folders. It is off until you add a key, and only then are the titles and addresses of the bookmarks it sorts sent to TypeSafe.
🖱️ Drag and drop, dual pane, cards or list
Reorganize between folders, work with two roots side by side, pick the view you like.
🗑️ Trash with a safety net
Deleted by accident? Restore it — nothing is gone until you say so.
🌍 In your language
English, Polski, Deutsch, Français, Español — or let it follow your browser.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
🔒 No account. No BookSync server. No tracking.
Everything is stored locally in your browser, and the built-in AI runs on-device. It works with the Chrome bookmarks you already have — uninstall anytime and your bookmarks stay untouched. The optional link check contacts only the sites you ask it to check; the optional Jev engine talks to TypeSafe only with your own key.

WORKS GREAT WITH NAVIGATOR
Want your bookmark folders on every new tab? Pair BookSync Manager with BookSync Navigator — a new-tab page with bookmark boxes, widgets and ⌘K search. Both work on their own, both free.
Works on Chrome and Chromium browsers: Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera.
