About Bookmark Tags
Bookmark Tags adds tags to your existing Chrome bookmarks so you can organize and find pages without changing your folder structure.
Tags are saved as space-separated @tags in bookmark names, for example “Color Basics @design @reference”. You can switch to #tags on the Tags page and convert existing tags with one button. Tags stay with your bookmarks when Chrome syncs them or when you uninstall the extension.
Browse and search in the side panel
- Expand folders and browse your existing bookmarks.
- Search titles, URLs, folders and tags.
- Select multiple tags to find bookmarks that contain all of them, or filter untagged bookmarks.
- Sort by folder order, date added, last used or name.
- Choose compact rows or display tags on a second line.
- Open pages in the current tab, a new tab, a new window or an incognito window.
Add bookmarks from the toolbar
- Click the extension icon to bookmark the current page and edit its name, folder and tags.
- The toolbar icon turns blue when the current page is bookmarked.
Organize your collection
- Enter tags as chips and pick from suggestions while typing.
- Create, rename, move and delete folders; drag rows to reorder or move bookmarks.
- On the Bookmarks page, check multiple bookmarks to add or remove tags at once.
- On the Tags page, see how many bookmarks use each tag, rename or delete tags, and choose @ or # for tags.
- Open “Extension settings” to choose Japanese or English and system/light/dark appearance.
Bookmark and tag processing happens in your browser. The extension does not send your bookmarks or browsing data to external servers.
