Block Shorts for Youtube™

Block Shorts for Youtube™: Clean Up Your Feed Block Shorts for Youtube™ is a Chrome extension designed for users who prefer a streamlined, distraction-free YouTube experience. It automatically removes all Shorts content from the platform — eliminating vertical videos, Shorts carousels, and Shorts-only sections from your homepage, subscriptions, and search results. If you find Shorts intrusive or irrelevant, this extension restores the classic YouTube layout you know and love. The extension works silently in the background, modifying the page structure as soon as YouTube loads. It targets Shorts elements using precise selectors and hides them without affecting the rest of the site. You’ll still see full-length videos, playlists, and channels — but Shorts will be gone. It’s ideal for users who want to focus on long-form content, tutorials, documentaries, or any material that benefits from depth and duration. The interface is minimal and symbolic, with no clutter or configuration required. A simple icon in the toolbar lets you toggle the extension on or off. There are no menus, no settings, and no distractions — just a clean feed every time you open YouTube. The design philosophy is simple: remove what you don’t want, and let the rest shine. Performance is fast and lightweight. The extension runs entirely on the client side, without tracking, data collection, or external requests. It doesn’t interfere with video playback, subscriptions, or recommendations — it simply filters out Shorts before they reach your screen. This makes it a privacy-friendly and efficient solution for customizing your YouTube experience. Whether you're a student, professional, or casual viewer, Block Shorts for Youtube™ helps you reclaim your attention and focus on the content that matters. It’s a small tool with a big impact — restoring clarity, reducing noise, and giving you control over your feed. Add it to Chrome and enjoy YouTube without Shorts — just the videos you want, every time you browse.
